wildlife rescue

October 31, 2007 - Phetchaburi, Thailand

hey guys, well wot have i done since last entry? basically same kinda stuff feeding bears and primate then shuvelling the shit they produce afterwards. still havin fun tho, worked with the animals in quarantine over last few days which is basically the new animals that are kept seperate to check they're all healthy. Been really good as ur on ur own so get some alone time and can do everythin at ur own pace. Nice to see some new animals, such as the 10 juvenile gibbons that are in there, really really cheeky and energetic, u need to watch urself as they tend to grab alot and believe me they're strong, its a real struggle to get free once they have u, especially zac, proper cheeky monkey he is, finds every available opportunity to grab u, has a special fondness of pulling hair much to my scalps dismay!!! Been in the lake bathing the elephants again today and got a special treat shovelling elephant poo bigger than my head!!!! Elephant poo is ok as reward get to swim with them later. Had a day off on sunday so came over to hua hin saturday night with another girl from the centre and went to the markets and had a wander. Went off for some alone time with my map and guess wot, i never got lost woohoo!!! sunday had a nice lie in then headed for the beach, was nice and warm and got a nice bronzey and a thai massage on the beach. pigged out abit too on subway and waffles etc, anythin but thai food, so sick of rice and it only been 2 weeks. everythin tastes the same, either lemongrass or ginger flavour yummy at first but after lunch and dinner for 14 days u get bit nauscious around the stuff.

wot else, o yeah i rescued a really sick puppy from down the road who was lfee ridden and really weak with conjunctivitus so got to treat her with the vet, also been hand rearing some birds that we accidentally knocked down in a coconut tree we wer picking oops!!! another adventurous week!! hope all is well at home, x x

You seem to be having a great time, you have done such a brave thing going on your own and i feel totally jealous. Bryn would really adore doing the things that you have been getting up to. I will get him to read your journal and look at the brill pictures. He might even have a go at writing an email to you. Take care of yourself and look forward to reading lots more!!!!!

Hello, Laura no need to ask if you're having a great time, really enjoy every moment - you're our Scouse Michaela Strachan (hope you know who she is) and of course much better looking.

Ya mum and me are well into our training routine, we've been out walking twice this week and I can only say that my bum is so tight that I should be able to get into a pair of Kylie's gold hot pants.

Went to Lorraine & Jimmy's for a bonfire party last night, both me and your mum had no drink and little food - so good are we ( the drink was more of a problem than the food).

Any way, keep your journal going as it is really good and making us all green with envy.

See ya soon

XXXX

p.s - If Lynda looks like Kylie then I'm the ringer of Posh Spice !!

Your nan's going to call here to see the pictures you've sent. I 'll get her to send you an e-mail as well. That should be good you know what she's like with technology. We had some fireworks in the garden last night for Lydia and she had some sparklers as well. Speak to you again soon. All our love today and everyday. xxx PS Lydia couldn't believe it was you riding the elephant in the water. It was fantastic. what stories you'll have to tell your children when you have them. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
