Howdie folks,
well again iv been rubbish with the journal, last left u in laos and now im in malaysia after spending the best time in thailand. So what have i been upto, well, just before leaving laos i did the gibbon experience with the 2 joes (still with the joes) and 2 dutch girls which involved living in the tree tops like a gibbon, going on wildlife walks (we saw a pythan and a gibbon family) and ziplining between trees and treehouses. Was so so cool had the best time ever except sleep proved evasive as we lived with a family of mice who stole out food and ate it noisily in the dead of night plus liked t tap dance on the plastic sheet suspended above our heads.
After laos we arrived back to thailand my third time now, cant get enough of the place. We checked out a couple of culturally rich places in the north, saw lots of temples and got drunk once or twice (or few million) with our new found friend a dutch girl called sanne before heading down to my new found home-the island of koh tao where i signed up to do a diving course. Was so scared to sive as u all know have a crippling fear of jaws coming to get me but wanted to try anyway and o my god am i glad i did. I LOVE LOVE LOVE DIVING!!!!!!!!! ADDICTED EVEN!!!!! The first time we got in the ocean was just incredible , saw so many cool things, saw nemo, stingrays, sea snakes tonnes of beautiful coral and swam in shouls of fish it is simply amazing!!! Became a fully fledged certified open water diver so can now dive independantly but that just wasn't enough i wanted more so signed up and qualified for my advanced divers certificate which means i can dive deeper to 30mt and do shipwreck dives etc, incredible. kph tao is such a beautiful place made some cool friends diving, best being brad our dive instructor and a girl called bee my new canadian companian, had the best time watching fire dancers on the beach at night, diving by day wow!!!!! Love the place so much that im plannin on returning gonna do my divemasters so can get a job leading dives in oz, so obsessed with it and i actually want to see a shark can u believe it?? Me!!!
Left koh tao grudgingly as had lots more to see in thai before my visa expired so headed to koh phangnan for the half moon party, which is infamous in the island, its a full on rave in the jungle, was so good, was there with the joes, sanne and her 2 dutch friends and bee, big party group, lots of whiskey and redbull buckets (eurgh hangover from hell next day) and ended up partying til dawn. Also been to some other islands in thailand, kayaking, partying etc had the best time in thailand. One of the most memorable things was that we arranged to camp on the beach of a private marine park where they filmed the beach, was unbelievable camping under the stars just a small group of us watching the nighttime lightning from the shelter of the trees, wow wow wow,.
Now im finally in malaysia in kuala lumpar such a great city, was so nice to get to a city after so much beach life, we girls had a proper girly day manged to spend a whole hour in a pharmacy buying moisturisers and hair products etc (guys were glad we'd ditched them for a day) then tried on lovely clothes in zara and topshop took alot of self restraint not to purchase the entire shop as missed my retail therapy but living on a tenner a day really doesn't stretch to topshop he he!!!!! We did the tourist thing too wnet up the petronas towers and ate malayan food, love it. Now im in the cameron highands in central malaysia where we did a huge rainforest trek yesterday, was surreal trekking the jungle but so cool (literally got bit rained on as rainy season), knackering though hence our day of eating, chilling out and watching movies today!!!!
Well better get back to doing nothing will keep this up to date more often, will be in malaysia for few weeks maybe go down to bali then come back to thailand to become a divemaster woohoo!!!!! Miss u all, no idea when i'll be returning to blighty even though im sure ur all miserable without me he he!!!
