Second Week!

So it is my second week of school!!!!  This week I was able to hang out a lot on campus.  I started exploring what is here and I ended up going to the museum on campus.  It is an archeology museum and has so many cool artifacts.  I went by myself and right when I enter I heard the screaming of little kids. I think that they were on a school trip.  It was so funny to hear all these little voice screaming in Hebrew-they were so cute.  On Thursday night (which is like Friday in the US) night I went out exploring the city with some friends.  We got lost and then walked around the city never making it to our destination. It was fun and we were out for about 3 hours and ended up getting some food to cook.  We then came back, got out and then changed for dinner.  We went to German-town to eat some really good food.  Since I have been doing all my own cooking the food tasted even better then I think it was.  The restaurant that we went to was right near the Bahia Gardens.  At night for about an hour they light up the gardens so that you can see the doom of the tomb and the Gardens. It was such a pretty sight- I would have taken picture but A-I did not take my camera and B it was too dark.  We came back and I went to bed.  Friday was the day of the killer animal and insects.  There are cats all over the place here, and they are so scary looking and they coming right up to you.  BUT on Friday they were even more scary then usual and all day I was running away from them.  After a day of studying my roommate and I watch a movie called the Syrian Bride-it was in Hebrew but there were subtitles. We made a girls night out of it and just when we were going to go outside we saw the biggest cockroach ever in our apartment.  So we screamed and then tried to fight it off.  We final got it outside and then realized that we wanted to be outside too.  Yet the cockroach would not move -we fought it off and ran outside to check our mail and then ran quickly back inside. We were afraid of the cockroach and we did not want to say out to long. The next morning I woke up and my apartment mate had drawn pictures of cockroach with a big X on it and put it outside our door to scare the cockroach. I will let you know if it works.  Saturday I spent the day studying and then took my test this morning. I think that I am going to go out get groceries.  Also I will try to put picture up soon!!
