Hello Everyone! Happy April!
I just wanted to tell everyone this short story.
Yesterday, April 1st, I was down on 26th street at Chelsea Studios auditioning. I actually ended up going to three auditions all in one day. But anyways, I was at my first audition of the day. It started at 10:00am and it was a dance call. There were alot of other auditions going on in the building as well at the same time. Most are at 10:00am and/or 2:00pm.
As soon as we started to learn the dance combination the casting director came in and said that they were evacuating the building because there was a fire. Immediately I thought "this is a joke" "april fools, right?". LoL...So we slowly trickled into the other room to gather our stuff, not thinking of anything really happening. Then we saw that everyone was REALLY evacuating. As we proceeded down the steps you could smell the smoke and there were fire fighters all throughout the building! When we got outside there were probably at least 20 fire trucks/emergency vehicles on the road. It was crazy! We were outside (in the rain) for about an hour...then the let us all back in. From what I heard it was an electrical fire and no one was hurt.
We went back up and finished our audition! And then I got cut! LoL...
It sure made for an interesting day!
