London

June 26, 2008 - London, United Kingdom

June 23-26, Boudine and I were in London. We arrived on Monday in the morning and walked around until we met up with Dave, Keller, and Eric in the afternoon. My best friend Katie is studying abroad in London so she was nice enough to let us all stay at her apartment. After Katie got back from class we all walked to a park in central London and then had dinner. After dinner we found a pub but didn't stay for long because we were all pretty tired from travelling. Tuesday we took a bus tour all around central London and pretty much got to see everything. It was nice becasue we could get off at different stops and walk around until we decided to catch another bus. On the tour we saw the London Eye, Kensington Palace, the London Tower, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls Cathedral, the National Gallery, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Along with our bus ticket we also had a ticket for a riverboat tour so after the bus tour we got to take a ride on the River Thames. After dinner we found a bar where we celebrated Katie and Kellers birthdays. They closed around midnight so we had to find another bar where we proceeded to celebrate a little too much. Haha. Wednesday we got a late start due to the previous nights birthday festivities so we spent the afternoon exploring The Tower of London. After the tour we got some dinner and found a bar to watch the Germany vs. Turkey soccer game. Thursday morning the guys left on a train for Brussels so Boudine and I spent the afternoon walking around until we caught our flight back to the Netherlands later that evening.
