Brisvegas to Las Vegas

Okay... so on the 11th I flew from Brisbane to Las Vegas via Sydney and San Franciso. That was one really, really long day. Started at 0400hrs Brisbane time and ended when we checked into the hotel about 30 hours later - BUT STILL THE SAME CALENDAR DAY! Go figure.

Flight to Sydney was pretty uneventful apart from some awesome snorers. Met up with Justin in Sydney airport and then did the wonderful long wait until the international flight left. It was great to see him after being separated for 10 days.

Flight to San Francisco was pretty good actually. The in-flight service with United was supposed to be pretty average but we thought it was excellent. That could have had something to do with the numerous wines we had just after takeoff!

Justin started to get irritated at about hour five. No nicotine you see but he held on pretty well. I slept for a total of about 2 hours on that 13.5 hour flight.

San Francisco was a nice airport - a pity we didn't get to see any of the city! The funniest thing that happened was the hand baggage screener who was asked to check Justin's daypack. He had never seen the health warning photos that we have on our smokes in Oz and kept going "aarrgghh" and "ewww" when he pulled Justin's smokes out of the bag.

Then we flew on to Vegas. Some pretty nice rugged country that we took photos of (will be up soon).

Then we arrived in Vegas after the longest day ever!

Slot machines in the airport... I knew I was in for a crazy experience...
