A beautiful sunny day in Scotland

So today was a wonderful day.  One reason is that it was my first day off in ten days!  But mainly because I was wandering around Edinburgh, by myself, geocaching.  I learnt a lot about the history of the place and some of the people who have lived here.  It's a beautiful city with many hidey holes and nooks that you can miss if you blink!








I started the day in Princes Street Gardens.  The flowers are blooming, very colourful.  It's an oasis in the middle of Edinburgh.  The fountain photo above is huge and the photo shows just how close Edinburgh Castle is!








I spent more time in cemeteries today than I have in my entire life!  The above photos show some of the the more interesting pieces.  I also found a lovely little secret garden.








Justin and I had planned to visit Hadrian's Wall tomorrow but have decided to change plans and go north instead to the home of golf.  St Andrews.  More photos to come!
