Singapore isn't as spectacular as I'd expected strangely enough. It IS still amazing, but I think that by coming from KL we'd almost spoilt ourselves. I did wonder today what exactly I was expecting it to be like, i.e what spectacular things were i hoping to see, but I don't know. Maybe people go on so much about how clean and perfect it is, in reality, it is clean, but its not the cleanest place I've ever been in my whole life - that would obviously be my bedroom at home. We have had a brilliant time though and still have all day tommorow and most of the next day too before we fly to Bali (very excited, and having surf lessons for my birthday!). We're staying in Little India, which is a bit like a combination of the curry mile in Manchester & India (a lot cleaner and les smelly than I remember India) we walked along Orchard Road, which is full of shopping centres. WE DIDN"T GO IN ANY OF THEM!! Then onto the botanical gardens which were very pretty, but i was so tired i couldnt be bothered to take any photos, sorry anyone who wanted to see some plants.
Forgot to mention that my $11 bed last night was a mattress on the kitchen floor of someones house (a hostel called Ali's nest) in little India. its very homely and we get free tea, coffee and toast in the morning. Everyone else staying there last night also had the pleasure of seeing me asleep pver breakfast too.
About to get thrown out of internet place as its closing, but we went to the night zoo tonight which was awesome!
