About me
I finished school in june and I'm having a gap year at the moment.For the past couple of months I've been working at a Care Home with Residential and EMI residents which has been pretty hard work, but also been a really great experience - and quite funny at times!
Next year I'm going to Newcastle Uni to study Medicine, but before then, I'm off to India for four months!
About my trip
I am going to spend the first month doing a voluntary Medical placement and will be spending time in leprosy clinics, maternity hospitals, dentistry facilities, kidney care centres and busy general hospitals throughout Tamil Nadu, in the south of India.For the next two months I'm going to volunteer in care centres in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Some time will be spent teaching informal lessons within orphanages and care homes and other time will be spent doing things like helping children paint murals on walls.
In the last month, I am hoping to see as much of India as possible, gradually working my way up to Delhi, for my return flight home!
