We made it. We got off the plane in Johannesburg and there was Terry waiting for us. I don't know if he thought we would ever get here, but finally after years and years of talking about it David and I finally got here.
Everything went so smoothly on the flights, apparently there were strong tailwinds the whole way; we kept arriving everywhere about 45 minutes early. When we stopped in Dakar, the security people came on board, inspected all the seats, ensured carry-on luggage belonged to someone on the plane. If they found a piece of luggage that no one was claiming, then off it went.
For all of you that were concerned, David did survive the flight, but if he had changed my music channel one more time....I might have been the only one arriving in Johannesburg.
