Houston, TX

There were not WPA amphitheatres that we could find in Houston. However, the Miller Outdoor Theatre was quite an impressive building.

There were some other spots that said there were theares, but we couldn't find them.  Mac Gregor Elementary school was suppose to have a theatre.  The only thing we could find was a small platform in the school yard. Perhaps this was it.

In Pasadena, a suburb of Houston, there was a theatre built.  We found this newer structure that looks like it was built in the 70's.  Under the modern structure we saw a rock type structure that looks like it could have been from the 30's.  Perhaps they replaced the old structure with the new.

We went down to Galveston where a theatre was built, but we couldn't find it.  It got dark to early to really do a thorough search.  Perhaps when I go back in March of 2008 I will be able to search again.
