The countdown is over.....

It is finally here! After months of dreaming about walking through the streets of Rome (eating gelato of course)....we will finally be there in less than 24 hours! Luigi has spent the last several months planning this trip to show me Italy...since this is my first trip to Europe, I have no idea what to expect. I only know that the next four weeks will be the trip of a lifetime for me....I hope that we can share some of our experiences through this journal. See you in Italy!  Nancy

Here is our itinerary:

We will land in Florence on Saturday afternoon (April 26).
3 days in Florence
5 days driving around Tuscany in a rental car drinking wine, eating lots of cheese, etc.
3 days in Cinqueterre
7 days in Rome
7 days on the Island of Ischia which will be our base for the exploration of the Amalfi coast

We will try to keep our journal updated with text and pictures as much as possible, BUT we may also be VERY busy eating gelatos and enjoying great food and 2,000 years of history.  If you like to be kept updated, please subscribe to our journal (an email will be sent to you by the system).
