And the Contiki Adventure begins...
July 7, 2007 - Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
We started bright an early on Saturday morning, with 35 other contiki goers, mainly from Australia actually. Straight off to Vegas we go!!! We had an ice breaker where we introduced ourselves and shared and embarrassing moment we’ve had, so I decided to go with Cindy’s wedding where I almost fell into the swan river in my pretty purple dress and my high heels….and the fact they decided to publish it on the freaken wedding video…embarrassing alright! We had one stop on the way, and of course Ursh and I had to attract the only freak in the join didn’t we. Here we were happily eating our chicken salads and drinking our apple juice, and some strange old man started practically yelling us….we’re just thinking…weirdo!! We thought he wanted my leftovers or something…turns our he wanted our empty juice bottles….FREAK! God know’s why….mabey they get a 5 cent refund like they do in South Australia…sad! We really know how to attract them here! Ha ha! We hit Vegas late in the day, not late enough though. It was soooooo HOT!! Like 43 degrees hot! We came and the hottest part of the year…grr! Ursh and I decided to hit the tables and avoid the heat it was just way to hot to check out the strip. So we gambled a bit on the blackjack tables and the roulette and ended up with 4 or 5 free cocktails and walked out $20 up…SWEET! Then we headed off and had an awesome buffet dinner with the contiki crew and a cruise on the lovely air-conditioned bus up the Las Vegas strip to check out all the casino’s (gotta love that aircon). We then got out for the Freemount Street experience in downtown Las Vegas, which is that massive TV screen show above your head which looked awesome. One thing I found hilarious is the fact that you the can go from one casino to the next and walk up and down the strip with drinks in your hand. There is no street drinking laws at all! No need to sneak out a beer glass from a pub, they just don’t care, you can take it anywhere…even home with you! So after seeing the amazing lights we of course had to do what everyone does when they hit vegas…check out STUDIO 54!! We had an awesome night, good music and hot male dancers which all the girls wanted to take on the bus with us and they have the most incredible girls that do tricks in these hoola hoops that come down from the ceiling, like stuff you see at the circus…but in the middle of the club…was cool to watch, strange while your dancing in the middle of the stage but still cool. Was a great first day in Vegas! Turns our it was this big deal that it was 07/07/07 at the city was just crazy. We heard that wedding chapels where doing like 70 weddings in the day. It was insane!!!! We saw brides left right and centre! Its practically just one wedding after another…the ceremonies only go for about 10-15 minutes. Crazy, not something I would do!

Luv ya chik
