On the road again….just can’t wait to get on the road again….YEH RIGHT! After the one of the best places we have visited yet, we head to the crappiest place yet! Hehe On to
Memphis we go.

We stopped in a place called
Little rock which is the city Bill
Clinton called home while he was the governor of
Arkansas so we checked out the capitol building for about 45 minutes, where Ursh decided to have a lay down in the toilet.

Sounds weird I know, but there was an actual mattress and pillow on a bench in the toilet…which also had the most ugliest wall paper I have ever seen. Totally weird!

We then stopped for lunch in Texarkana which gets its name from
Texas and Arkansas (would you believe hehe) which is the border for both states. Nothing really interesting there at all…was just a nice drive through the city really and then we continued on to Memphis,
Tennessee. We had a quick city tour, and then stopped off at the Lorraine Motel which was the site that Martin Luther King was assassinated.

There was this woman that was protesting out the front that had been there every day for the last 19 and a half years!!! Talk about INSANE!!! They changed the motel into a National Civil Rights Museum which she was against, and she has a little stand set up out the front and just gave us a little spiel on MLK. Personally I couldn’t think of a better way of spending my days over 19 years…but hey…we are in America…most people are crazy over here!

Hehe. Memphis would have to be one of the most boring places we have been to, there really wasn’t much to see unless you are into blues music and records. They had a Sun Studios tour that we could have done but its not really my thing…it was all about where Johnny Cash and Elvis recorded some of their songs and im like…ehh….whatever! We basically just got to the hotel and then got ready to go out for dinner.

We went to a place called BB Kings….it was actually really cool. They had a woman singing with the band going off behind her, good old blues. She actually did a really good job…that Ella Fitzgerald song At Last sounded lovely! After dinner we headed out to famous BEALE Street where street drinking is legal (SCORE) so we walked up and down the strip with a beer in hand until we hit the one…the only…COYOTE UGLY!!!

Yeh baby!! Haha! Ursh and I had a ball! We even got up on the bar for a dance and her and I where in a competition against 2 other girls where I had to get on Ursh’s back like I was riding a horse. She was down on her hands and knees and well…..half way through it basically just looked like I was trying to rape her on stage!

Haha. My shoe came off, I hurt my foot and then stacked it, which made Ursh fall over…and well…the pictures kinda say everything!

The good news is you get free shots out of it so I managed to get 3 free ones that night! Hehe. But about 2.30am we gave up and headed home, but it was an awesome night!
ps that song is by Etta James (At last)
