So we headed off to the Kennedy Space Centre today, which ended up taking a lot longer than what we thought. After an hour of driving, we realized we had past the hotel we were staying in….what the? There was some road works going on so we had to detour, but there were no signs so the bus driver got a little lost I think! So we missed out on an hour at the space centre. I didn’t think we would need it because we were going to be there for about 4 hours…but turns out we did!

It was massively spaced out (no pun intended) and there was a lot to see. We were so rushed we missed an entire stop on the tour and barely got to look around! We went on a rocket launch simulator which was sooooo funny! Us girls didn’t realise how much flab we had on our faces until we were shaken left right and centre in this thing…I couldn’t stop giggling! Was good fun though. We raced through the the tour, stoping at a lookout which you can see the launch pads from.

There was a real rocket ready to go…the Endeavor. I think it launches in about a month. It was a little far away to get a clear photo, but here is an idea. You have to be at least 3 miles away from the launch pad because of the noise so the towers are pretty far away.
