So Kate, Wendy and Myself jumped on the bus into the heart of DC (cause out hotel was in the sticks) and checked out a few of the famous spots during the day.
We went to the national archives to see the declaration of independence, which was so faded it was unreadable! I spose you have to expect th at considering how old it is! Hehe. But yeh, looked like the movie National Treasure….just a lot darker. They keep the lights low to stop the documents fading.
We then jumped on a 1 dollar bus route that totally beats the $32 hop on hop off bus we got told about! 1 buck…woohoo! We saw the Capitol Building,
Lincoln Memorial and the White House and then we were pretty much over it so we went to see I now pronounce you chuck and larry at the cinema! Hehe was good! We then did some shopping and vegged in the room.
Washington…. done!!
