On the road again……sound familiar???? Yes, its back to another contiki tour…and unfortunately, we have a French (yes French…the people we love most in the world) tour guide. She speaks English…but its at like 100 miles an hour! I know I talk fast but gees…I swear this woman doesn’t even take a breath! Its insane!

Its hard to understand her…which sucks cause im actually interested in hearing about places. But she is just trying to cram in so much info so quickly I just zoned out on the
Paris tour tonight! Grrr! Ill start back at the beginning…We met at the hotel at 6am to register, and then headed from
London to
Dover, where we caught a ferry across to
France. This ferry was seriously massive! It had duty free shopping and food courts and all sorts! Was huge! I was sooooo tempted to by the Chanel Chance perfume ive been dying to get….but my suitcase is sooooooooooooooooo full I seriously cannot fit anything else in there…and I don’t want such an expensive perfume leaking all through my case cause I cant pack it properly! I even had to throw out some of my toiletries and crap this morning cause the contiki headquarters were strict on the 20kg weight limit!! I reakon my case was about 24kg….and I managed to get it down to 21.6g…and they let me through! I had to part with my fancy shampoo, laundry liquid, moisturizer, shower gel….dammit im stopping there…im getting sad about all the stuff I had to throw out dammit! Its getting to the point that im going to have to start throwing out clothes now =( Boo hoo! Anyway back to France!

We pretty much spent the whole day on the road…but luckily for us, the chalet’s at the camping site we were supposed to stay in were fully booked, so we got upgraded to a comfort inn…which we all go so excited about! But then….we opened the door…..to this…. 3 beds in a 2 bed room….so there was like NO walking space, we cant open our suitcases cause there I seriously no room anywhere! Its definitely better than sleeping in a crappy chalet, and at least it is nice and quiet so we might actually get a good night sleep…which seems to be something we have forgotten how to do! But we had a quick break, and then headed downstairs for a group dinner and then a bus tour around Paris. Unfortunately, it was pissing down with rain….so that kinda ruined it! The fact that is was night time also meant we couldn’t get any good clear photo’s which was disappointing. But it was awesome to see the city. Im excited about cruising round the city for the next 2 days! I cant get over the size of the louve….I knew it was big but gees! Its massive! The lights at the Eiffel Tower were incredible to!

We got to see all the major attractions which was cool, but it will be good when we can actually walk around the city ourselves tomorrow! Exciting!
