Onwards to boring Manchester

September 28, 2007 - Manchester, United Kingdom

Well the sunshine didn’t last long, somehow I knew that was coming. It poured it down yet again, so Ursh and I had the fun trek of making our way to the airport in the rain….joy! We had an afternoon flight at least, so we could sleep in, which was totally needed since the music for the pub downstairs stops at 3am and the cars across the road were beeping their horns at 6am….oh how I miss my bed more and more each day. We finally made it to the airport, nice and soggy, and hey, only 20.5kg of luggage this time. The lightest my suitcase has been since I left Australia! Yay for me! Hehe! For once, being a foreigner turned out to be the biggest bonus ever….Ursh and I went straight to the front of the line in the customs queue! Score! Everyone else was traveling on and EU passport….ahhh I love being an Aussie! So it was straight through, into to taxi line and off to the hotel (YES HOTEL…ahhhh our own bathroom). We decided to book a hotel close to the airport, since we were over public transport at this point, and ended up in a cosy little room in the middle of…well, the sticks. Altricham (or something along those lines). We didn’t arrive until dinner time so it was just dinner and an early night really. The days get more and more interesting by the moment don’t they? =) Hopefully we will find something to do tomorrow!
