Castle!!!

October 16, 2007 - Stirling, United Kingdom

So today was a laugh and a half! Ursh and IUrsh decided she was going to brave the cold and went swimming in loch ness. Yes, the crazy girl threw on her togs and decided to go for a little paddle in the 15 degree water. Nice and chilly! Not only was the water freezing, but I think it was the windiest day they have ever had in Scotland!DSCN2467 Unfortunately it was also a nice ROCKY walk into the water, so Ursh had to slowly work her way in and out, a slow painful freezing process. Silly girl! Only 2 of the boys were brave enough to enter the cold water as well….I was quite happy to stand behind the camera and film the footage, while staying warm and dry! I thought I wouldn’t turn my flu into bronchitis again =)Dog Falls We also went to dog falls this morning, which was another short walk through the forest. Nothing to glamorous, and thankfully not such a muddy trek this time! We saw a few more castles, another look out point where a waterfall was and then we headed to our accommodation we were staying at for the next 2 nights. our accomodation...the castleTurns out….it’s a CASTLE!! Yes, we got to stay in an actual castle…score! It was donated to the Youth Hostel Association, which is a bonus for us, so that was really cool! Ursh and I nominated to cook dinner tonight, which turns out was the worst possible kitchen to cook in. It was massive, but there were no big pots to cook in…..so the kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it after we were finished cooking for 15 people.me out the front of our accommodation We decided to make risotto, which everyone totally loved, but my god was that an effort to cook! We had like 6 pots going! There was sooooo much food, but they all loved it so much they went back for seconds and thirds, so thankfully there was only one small pot full left at the end. A job well done!
