Today was a day for interesting names. We went to a town called Tongue, where you could buy ‘I Love Tongue’ t-shirts, which as you can imagine half the bus bought! Haha! We also went over the ‘Bonar’ bridge, which brings me to think that the Scots are kinda a horny bunch of people?? Hmm! Anyway, we enjoyed a nice drive out to Durness Beach where we were hoping to get a boat tour through the caves that were near there but since the rainfall had been high the water levels were to high to take the boat through, so we just had a little walk through to have a look at a waterfall and then rock hunting.

Yes rock hunting, sounds boring but was actually cool….we were trying to find the rocks that had a hole the entire way through it (which had be caused by the water drops eroding it apparently). I managed to spot one withing the first minute, but that couldn’t find any others.

Unfortunately Ursh didn’t manage to get one and was still looking as we were all getting on the bus! Hehe, as if we would leave her there! We stopped a little further up the road at a beach for lunch and a bit of a run around on the sand with the soccer and tennis balls, even though it was like freezing weather yet again.

I was smart this time though….last night I bought a magazine which came with a free umbrella, which ive have gone without the entire trip.

I figured since it has rained pretty much every day since arriving in
Scotland that if I finally got an umbrella, it would stop, just to annoy me…..and turns out my plan worked! =) It didn’t rain again! Well it did while we were driving some times, but every time we stepped out of the van, since I had my brolli it didn’t rain! SCORE! Nice logic huh! We checked out some more castles and at the end of the day stopped of at the Dunrobbin castle, which was kinda funny, turns out scott said they weren’t ‘Done Robbing’ as they were cheeky buggers of a family. They would burn down people’s houses while they were out and take their land for farming, dodge city! I think the funniest part of the whole day was when we happily driving along and all of a sudden we had flock of sheep heading for us…..tons of them! It was hilarious, they completely blocked the road!

Haha! Anyway we headed back to the
hotel where Ursh and I proceeded to cook dinner again, since no one said they would….and we attempted my dads spaghetti, which of course wasn’t as good, but everyone still enjoyed it! It was one of the girls birthday on tour so we had a cake and some drinks and then a few of them proceeded onwards to the pub, where unfortunately Ursh managed to loose her camera on the, shall I say ’stumble’ back to the hotel. Poor thing, she is so upset! She was lucky we uploaded all her photos 2 days earlier so she didn’t lose to much but the video footage of her swimming in Loch Ness was gone…..grrrr!
