About us
A couple headed out for a self-propelled adventure, for better or worse. We're both incredible amateurs at bike touring, but carry a passion for the outdoors and strong headedness along with us. We're both ecstatic about the prospects of unemployment, irresponsiblity, monotony and hiker/biker campsites. Looking forward to steep inclines, busted tires and body glide application, if only now when it sounds exotic. Living the Kerouacan dream....About our trip
We'll start out somewhere along the coast in central or southern Oregon. The first two and half weeks will probably be spent in and out of the rain, swearing at things beyond our control and questioning whose decision this was in the first place. Looking forward to sun and redwoods in northern California, the tourism in Humboldt county and wilderness areas and wildife preserves. After trying to log approximately 50 miles a day, our progress should slow considerably when we head inland to the wine country of Napa and Sonoma counties. San Francisco and the central coast come next, all the way down to Los Angeles by the end of April. From there we'll try and find our way to Palm Desert and the final destination (if it is a place) would be Tucson, AZ. 1000+ miles on just under $30 a day for three months.
