Purgatory is an airport in London
June 19, 2007 - London, United Kingdom
I have arrived in Cairo! As I write this, as opposed to when it will be posted, it is almost two in the morning. The streets are filled with people downtown doing everything from shopping to drinking tea on the street corner. The hotel is nice but nothing to brag about. Then again I am paying very little for the room. There’s no internet connection in the hotel, no big surprise there, so all my posts will be made from the Museum. For the most part the flights were without incident. I had a five and a half hour layover in London, which was annoying and boring. The highlight of the second flight was an Egyptian woman seated a few rows up from me who began to scream and wail when we hit some turbulence. It took three flight attendants and an Egyptian female passenger to calm her down. All in all things are good and I’m looking forward to going to the museum.
