Feeling a little hairy

July 30, 2011 - Beijing, China

So i really need to shave my legs right now! I usually never leave home without a shaver, but for some reason... most likely due to the last minute rush to pack my bag, I have been left without a shaver! Generally this wouldn't be a problem, as a stroll down to Woolies would solve this problem in a flash alas not quite the case in good ol' China.

So far i've gone to the local shop, markets, Jenny's (place for westerners) annnnnnnnnnnnnd Rainbow (bigger supermarket). After some improvised charades at all these places, i was finally in luck... Rainbow had what i was looking for... Pointed into the right direction, I arrived at the shaver section. It was under lock and key annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd in a display case.

I was highly intimidated by the high security that surrounded it so I didn't buy it!!! So in short i'm feeling a little hairy lol

I'm also feeling alittle stinky. I knew it wouldn't be tooo long before I stepped in poo... Whether it is dog or human is still undetermined but to go this long is a feat in itself! I'll self hi-five my efforts haha

Needless to say i've done alittle more then look for shavers and step in dog/human poo. But i'll save the more important things till next time ;)

LOL I know eactly what you mean.

Try the beauty salon near Jenny's. You can get a wax or even better try Threading for something different. Coco and I went there once together, I tried the Threading. The ladies are very friendly.
After that treat yourself to Japanese 2 for 1 sushi right next door. Awesome! Coco knows all the details.

Hahaha, I may have cringed a little bit reading all of that. Not hot! :) I miss you loads and am enjoying reading about your trip... despite the large number of difficulties you seem to have encountered in such a small amount of time! Miss you loads! I keep going to call or message you, but that would be pointless. Hurry home now! Love ya xxx

You know that most places in Australia now keep the decent razors in a cabinet or locked...you have to ask. In woolies though you can squeeze them through. I am curious...what is threading? Try it and tell me! Man up and by the razors hairy mclairy!

I'm not exactly sure what threading is ladies but i'll see if i can convince coco to take a trip with me in the next couple days and i'll report back! I really should take a pic of how hairy i've gotten. Pretty sure the odd looks i'm getting atm is because they think they have just faced a really hairy....... thing lol

Haha I'm glad I could make you cringe Maria... that was the aim for the day. Miss you too =)
