Although we had to wait nearly an hour on the runway before takeoff, we arrived on time after a very pleasant flight with Air India, having been upgraded (many thanks to Sue and colleagues!) to Executive Class. Arrival in Mumbai was just as much a culture shock as last year - hustle and bustle doesn't begin to describe the continual traffic, honking, general hubub... but you do (kind of) get used to it.
We took a taxi to an orphanage where we offloaded most of the shoes and clothes but retained some which we gave to the porters at the hotel for their children. Unfortunately, no photos from the orphanage as it wasn't allowed, and rightfully so.
Finding it more expensive in Mumbai than we'd remembered but are planning to stay around for a couple of days before moving on to Chennai via Hyderabad.
