Day 7

April 17, 2008 - Delhi, India

Went out last night with the other gappers to an Indian bar. It was nice getting to know them better. Even better cos it was 'ladies night' so the drinks for us were free (beer and mojitos)!

Did more observing in the hospital today then helped the kids with their homework and english reading. Went to the ISKCON temple again and then took a long walk to the lotus temple of the Baha'i faith. Was v beautiful and calm in the gardens in comparison to the craziness and pollution of Delhi. Saw the sun set then had nice leisurely evening.

xx

PS well done Rishi

What sort of things are you observing at the hospital? Are you actually being allowed near patients?

Just to let you know, dad's outside washing the Peugot and then it'll be back in the garage - ready for you when you get back - that's ages yet - in fact I'll have been back to Stoupa again by the time you return!

Glad you are settling down and seeing the sights as well as working. Jo's Mum and I got home from Stoupa last night after being up for sixteen hours. Today has been washing and ironing so I'm ready for another holiday now! Charlie was completely overcome to see me and had been well looked after in my absence.

Dad: Haven't got many pics to put up yet but will soon cos it takes ages to load them on. Thank you for washing the car :) !
Mum: Saw you and grannie on the webcam - was that deliberate?!
Grannie: hope you enjoyed stoupa. You know what we felt like now - we were awake for about 36 hours on the way here!
Auntie Jackie: We have been watching outpatients appointments - ENT, paediatric, optician... we definitely get patient contact cos the patients are practically sitting on top of us in the tiny rooms but we aren't actually allowed to do anything, just watch.
