Our last day on placement

May 9, 2008 - Delhi, India

It was our last day at DCWA on placement today :( We all helped in the nursery and took them some sweets to say goodbye. It's been our favourite place to work in DCWA so we'll miss the kids. We skipped lunch as we needed to prepare our last english lesson. 30 of them turned up! We read through a couple of Beatles songs with them and explained the vocab, then as usual played a bit of hangman! There was a rumour that some Israeli people had turned up to do a performance for the kids so we went along to watch. They performed some music and got the kids to sing along and play musical statues. They also taught us a Hebrew rhyme with lots of actions which was fun. Had 'lunch' (chocolate eclair, v healthy) and went home. Met the other gappers at cafe Turtle for the last time. Managed to blag some free cake from the manager as he knew it was our last visit!

We've uploaded some more photos, mainly of DCWA. We're off on our travels on Sunday so the journal entries will probably not be as frequent but we'll try our best!

xx

Look forward to the next blog on your travels.
