May 19, 2010 - Maun, Botswana

We arrived in Botswana on Monday by crossing the Chobe river which has the only point in the world where four countries meet, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana. It immediately appeared poorer in Botswana to Zambia but I think that was because we'd been in the most touristy part of Zambia around Vic Falls. On Monday evening we went on a boat down the Chobe river which was one of the best wildlife viewing experiences that  I've had. We saw Elephants and Hippos in the river, Giraffe's drinking and all sorts of birds and antelopes. On Tuesday morning we took an early morning game drive and then headed to Gweta for an over night stay on our way to Maun. This afternoon we're taking canoe's into the Okavango Delta which we hope will be one of the highlights of our trip! I've been enjoying winding up the Aussies on our trip about the cricket!
