Christchurch

Set off for Christchurch - Stopped for lunch - More pies in Twizel (i could have eaten them all!) Unloaded ALL of the 'valuables' that have accumulated. Posted some of the car ads around town and then had pizza and watched a film on sky -
Spent pretty much all of the next day reading at the car market... No buyers!... The sellers were all friendly tho, so had a 'bit of chat'. Then another chilled out evening watching sky.
Then another dull day at the car market - Mike went off and would you believe that was when the only people interested ini the car turn up... I do a bad job of selling - as i have no idea what I'm talking about and we go for a test drive.
Went and met Brodie (second cousin, once removed) for the first time ever... Spotted him from a distance with a v loud hawaiian shirt on!.. Ran up to give him a hug and I only actually come up to his navel. Had a really cool time - A Thai meal and a few bars (which i had dejavu from the last time I was in them - 4 yrs ago!) Decided he should really be my 'uncle Brodie' - 9ft tall, bad ties and a history geek.. and I loved him!.. He was a real larf.
Mike got up early and went to the a different car fare - and had sold it by the time i was up and ready. Wandered round the city and then sorted out our packing (which was a bit of a mission when you collect as much crap as I do!) Then went up with Uncle Brodie in a cool pub called the Dux de Lux - for some own brewed beers and some more pizza. All the good work done on the walk has now been reversed!
Last day in Christchurch - did some quick shopping then off to the airport. Gave Jodie a quick call, as she was meeting us in Perth, to let her know that we were all on time and would see her in about 12 hours!.. Only she was very confused, as she was actually already at Perth airport waiting for us!?... She'd thought it was 11am - not pm that we were due in!
