Eire

March 29, 2008 - Birr, Ireland

So we're out of Dublin now and couldn't be happier! Ireland is so beautiful! It's a shame that Dublin can give such a bad impression of what really is a lovely country.
We've stopped country hopping for the minute and instead are county hopping! We were in Naas, Kildare last night at my Uncle Donal's and Auntie Eileen's and tonight we're in Birr, Offaly with my Auntie Clodagh. In a couple of days we'll be off to Thurles, Tipperary to see my Uncle Paddy and Auntie Marcella. It is great to have such friendly, welcoming family around who are looking after us splendidly.
During this trip we're going to travel around the south west of Ireland including Cork. Andrew's seen a few jobs in Chemistry advertised there so we might be lucky and find something during our travels. Here's hoping! In the next couple of weeks we should hear something about my registration too which will be nice! The Irish Nursing Board should be receiving the information that they wanted from ECU in the next few days so fingers crossed that I'll be able to get a job then!
Not much more for me to say at the moment so Slán!

Love Ruth and Andrew xxx

I'm glad you have experienced a nicer side of Ireland it would have been a shame to leave and having got the wrong impression. Keep the journals coming we really enjoy them.
