Hi All!
Sorry for the gap since I last posted anything but it’s been a bit hard as we’ve been travelling all over Ireland and haven’t had internet access.
We’re back with my Auntie Clodagh for the minute and as soon as the weekend is over will be looking for jobs in earnest. An income would be very welcome at this point! It sounds as though things may start happening with my registration soon but it will still take four to six weeks for them to assess it so nursing is still a little while off!
We’ve had a car the past couple of weeks and have travelled around Ireland. We’ve done pretty well and have managed to cover most of the country. We’ve gone from Dublin through the centre of Ireland, down to the south coast, along the coast to the west coast, up the west coast to Northern Ireland (but we were only there for about an hour – it was slightly unintentional so we got scared when everything changed to miles per hour and we couldn’t stop anywhere because we didn’t have any pounds!) and then back through the middle of Ireland to Dublin again. It is such a gorgeous country. It reminds us hugely of New Zealand – it’s a bit funny – we’ve travelled halfway around the world to go to New Zealand. There are heaps of similarities though. There are lots of snow capped mountains, lots of green open areas and lots of sheep just to say a few! We saw some pretty special things on our travels including the Cliffs of Moher, Killarney Castle, the Rock of Cashel, the Ring of Kerry, Kells Priory and Blarney Castle and kissed the Blarney Stone. All in all a great roadtrip!
I don’t really have too much to say – I’ll let the photos do the talking!
Until next time!
Love Ruth and Andrew xxx
