Nice is nice!

May 7, 2008 - Nice, France

Hi All!

So we're in Nice now. We were in Paris yesterday and had a fabulous four days there. We saw lots of art - we went to the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay (which is full of impressionist paintings and was v. cool) and the Picasso Museum. We also did all the usual sites including the Eifel Tower, the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe and Versailles. We also got to eat some yummy foods...and some not so yummy foods - Andrew tried snailsĀ - gross! We really had a great time in Paris though. It is a fantastic city.

We went into Nice this morning and found some boardies for Andrew with the plan of going to the beach, however by the time we got them it wasn't quite warm enough for the beach! Instead we ended up daytripping to Eze Village and Monaco and just wandering through them - they were both pretty cool. Eze Village is a medieval style town located at the highest point in the Mediterranean and produces lots of perfumes. Monaco or Monte Carlo is getting all set for the Grand Prix - we've never seen so many nice cars in the same place at the same time!

Tomorrow we're going canyoning which involves abseiling and rock climbing and sliding over waterfalls and the like - should be good fun! We're off to Spain after that and then home! The journey is nearly at an end...

Anyways, love to you all and hope you're all well.

Love Ruth and Andrew

Sounds great guys , I have just realized that you two have seen more of Europe in 3 months than I have in the 15 years I lived there!
