Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

July 5, 2008 - Manchester, United Kingdom

First an update from my last blog:The apple pie was muy delicioso.

Well, we've made it.  Mackenzie, Grandma, Grandaddy, and I are currently sitting in "The Station" attached to the Manchester Airport waiting to catch our 12:47 train to Windermere.  Though some of us choose to sleep on the flight over (apparently I slept through breakfast) others played Sudoku, Free Cell, and Winnie the Pooh Games.  (Personally, I opted to watch Run, Fat Boy, Run)

However, sitting in the train station, it is obvious that the travel and the time change has started to take it's toll on some of us.  For those who are wise beyond their years (of only 17 and 18 ), we are enjoying the new food, the new drinks, the new sights, and, of course, the new boys. :)

Pictures are coming soon,
Savvy Jaye

P.S. The conductor is exactly what I would have imagined a British conductor to look and sound like.

P.P.S.  Our favorite sight so far is at the little indoor cafe that we are sitting in between the train platforms. there are little birds that fly in and out when the automatic doors open due to people walking by, they are graciously walking around the floor cleaning up after our spilt crumbs.

I just imagine being there with you. Perhaps I am a fly on a wall or a bird on the floor!

Wow, girl, you can REALLY write! Have you considered a career (or, at least, a publishable pastime) in writing? You are so descriptive--I can almost see those birds, the cemetery and the British conductor. Have fun!!
