Bradford on Avon to Gloucester via Bath, Nailsworth (using their library now), Stroud and Gloucester. Planning to meet up with Brandon in Gloucester, an old work mate from my I.T. days.
Whilst I have only noticed a tail wind once so far this week (for aprox 2 hours) I have certainly noticed several head winds - seems to be a prevailing NE wind when I was expected the exact opposite - what is happening to our weather ?! Forecast is for a few more days of NE winds too - very sad 
Other issue is the very poor state of the road surfaces - truely bone shaking stuff - I'm having to put twice the effort in to overcome the extra rolling resistance.
