Welcome to my travel blog! Thanks for sharing in my adventure as I travel to South America. I will be in Ecuador with my host family from Sept 8 - 16 and Chile from Sept 16 - May 8. In Santiago I'll be staying in a hostel for a bit while I look for a more permanent place to live. Two things I'm eager to experience during my first week there are celebrating Chile's Independence Day on Sept 18th and going to a Chilean synagogue for Yom Kippur. I'm very much looking forward to being rooted in one city and truly getting to know the culture and the people. I do plan to travel as well! So, here's to eight months of exploration, contemplation, surprise, and excitement. Off I go!
