Spring Equinox

March 14, 2010 - Hollywood, Florida, United States

 Hi everyone ...

Its been a crazy week. I had the most horrific cold as you know if you spoke to me on the phone at all ... but good news, the mucus is on the move so Im feeling much better!! Not only did we lose an hour last night ... but my apartment woke to the phone ringing and someone pounding on the door.  It turned out to just be Hayden needing a laundry card at 8AM!!! What an idiot ... I thought someone had died ... when really he just needed clean underwear for his girlfriend's visit!! I could kill him.  Ha.

So my brain is full of ballroom steps ... if I dont clear my head before I go to sleep, I wake up several times a night actually counting out the steps in my head.  Talk about a nightmare.  Its a constant struggle.  Did I forget to mention that my partner is Massamiliano who is 4'11" ... so he stares at my boobs the whole time (not because he likes them, but because they are at his sight line the whole time if I wear my heels).  Its awesome.  Oh well.  I am dancing in the latin/salsa section and the jive/swing section of this show.  So basically Im on stage for about 14 minutes.  Which is awesome.  Its killer when you are doing it, but its over so fast, so this will be an easy show for me!! The latin section is pretty hott and the swing section is very me, just energetic and fun.  I even get to partner with the "ballroom boy" for a little bit, so I feel like a superstar.  Woohoo. He makes everyone look good!

Only 2 more weeks thank god ... I dont feel ready to be on the ship yet, but I am definitely ready to be done here!! Im exhausted and just ready to get settled on the ship.  But I do know that that means communication will be limited, but that also means Im closer to coming home.  My feet are covered in blisters and they just sting all the time.  I have abnormally sweaty feet I guess too because bandaids just dont stick!! I think I might soak my feet for a little bit later on but Im not sure what else to do.  One of the girls told me to hard boil some eggs and then put the skin from btwn the shell and the egg on the blister with a bandaid and that helps a lot.  Im not too sure about this technique so let me know if you have a better idea!

Lori is planning a visit for her spring break ... so I will get to see her right before I get on the ship which is AWESOME!! I could use a little boost from home right about now.  I hope all is well and Im glad you guys are having some nice weather at home.  Miss you all very much and love you heaps.  Talk to you soon.

All my love,

Stephanie
