Day 13 - Last Day of Twilight Tour - Seattle

September 16, 2010 - Seattle, Washington, United States

There is no sightseeing today, just packing our bags and driving from Port Angeles to Seattle where Lara our Tour Guide leaves us. We left about 9am and arrived in seattle at 12.30pm. We had our last lunch together as a group before we all went our separate ways. It was Laras last tour before she has to leave the country and it was emotional for us all to say goodbye to everyone. One of the ladys we call mum was organised to get everyones emails and will email everyone so we will all be able to keep in contact.

I had to get to the airport for 4pm as I had a 6pm flight. I had a little bit of time so one of the girls I was on the trip with and I went to the Space Needle Tower. It was a nice view of Seattle from the Tower. The tower is 520ft high. I had an hour there and then had to pick up my bags and head to the airport.

I caught the monorail to Westlake Centre where I heard people protesting in the street, apparently there was a young boy who was shot 4 times by police because he wouldn’t put down his knife which was apparently legal to carry and the police who shot the boy is going too be charged.

From the monorail, I got the light rail to the airport.

Arriving in Los Angeles, it certainly was a culture shock compares to the country towns of the last 2 weeks that I have been visiting. Getting form the airport was no problems, it was walking out onto Hollywood Boulevard at 10pm at night and seeing lights ,cars and lots of people which I havent been use to.

I had a little bit of trouble trying to find the Hostel but I asked someone who was kind enough to show me where it was.All I wanted was a hot shower and go to bed, once i arrived at the hostel. I found my room and it was facing the street and there was a night club playing music loudly until 3am in the morning and then I had to wait for a shower as there are only 4 showers for the girls in the Hostel. I wasn’t happy. I asked to change rooms and they said that I would have to check in the morning.
