Today is Wednesday and it is our last full day in SF. Tomorrow we are picking up a rental car and braving the roads and heading to the Monteray area. We just purchased a GPS today for the car and we are hoping we can find our way out of here. Today we went for another walk around the place and there are people everywhere because of the torch ceremony. We stayed well clear of all that as we were not sure how nasty it would get. We are right next to the Hilton Hotel and there is plenty of action there, people in suits with radio's, lots of police and undercover agents. It is a bit like what you see on the movies. You can tell we are Kiwis as we stand around and watch and everyone else just keeps moving like nothing is happening and everything is normal.
We are getting around like locals and we have mastered the public transport system although there are still places we found today that we have not seen over the last week. We finally found decent food though. We found a mall that has a food arcade like the BNZ Centre in Wellington only more upmarket and a fantastic supermarket where they have evey kind of food you can think and big buffet areas. Typical we find it on the last day though. Would have made things a lot easier if we found it 6 days ago. Anyways we will be offline for a few days until we reach our next destination and get settled. So really the only thing we have not really experienced in SF is the night clubs but I am sure there will be plenty of that in Las Vegas. An interesting city!
