We decided to give Disneyland a break on Tuesday and decided to have a sleep in. We went to a local mall and did a bit of shopping. If you go to the right places clothing and shoes are really cheap over here. A lot of the good places have been found by driving around or in the GPS navigation system we have as you can look up shopping/attractions etc. We went back to a smaller motor bike shop which is 5 minutes away and I brought a bit of gear. A guy there (we think he was the manager) was really good to us, He took me out the back and let me pick out some of the gear at cheap prices. We then had lunch and made our way to Boyd Coddington Hot rods which is about 15 minutes away. We had a look around the showroom took a few photos and brought a T shirt. It was really weird having some of the guys from the tv show walking right past you saying hi. Joe Coddington (Boyds wife) walked right past me, I wanted to say Hi or get a photo but she was In some sort of meeting.
We went to Medieval Times last night for tea/show. This is a themed dinner venue.
As soon as you get there they put hats on you and call you Lord etc. Once they seat you in the arena The show starts and then your own personal waiter starts bringing out the food. They have cutlery from that era and you have to eat with your hads (no knives and forks). The food was real tasty and the show was really good. I am not into horses and that sort of thing and neither is Rosie but we both really enjoyed it. Rosie made friends with some people sitting next to us that loved her accent.
We went back to Disneyland today (Wednesday). We had an early pass so tried to get there at 8.00. We were the second car through the gate. This is called a Magic morning which allowed us to get there an hour before the park officially opened.
They let us in to the main park at 8.30 and then we had to wait till 9.00 till the park was officially open. We were told to get there early to get on the "finding Nemo ride" which is a submarine type ride. Well I think everyone was there early for that. I was standing there waiting and talking to a guy who said he was there the previous day and the ride had broken down so closed early. He was up the front waiting for the go ahead with his family some where at the back. He was going to get there and wait in line for his family to catch up.
They announced the were going to take the rope down and the park was open and that there was to be no running.
Well you would think you were at the olympics in the walking race. There were dads all around us with prams I said to Rosie " Pick up the pace girl if ya fall over I'm dragging you" It ended up turning into a sprint race kids/dads and prams all over the place, it was really funny.
We got on the ride and was off by 9.30, the submarine ride was about 20 min long so the day was started well. I basically did all the rides I did on Monday plus more by 12.00. There was no more that a 5 minute wait.
From what I found out, People usually come for 3 days so you don't want to come Fri-Mon. They make Fri or Mon a long weekend, Thats why it was so busy for us on Monday.
We had lunch and then went over to the Disney Calafornia Adventure park and we went on the "Grizzly Bear Ride" Its very similar to white water rafting but they have huge geisers that unexpectedly arise. Really fun on a hot day. We got completely saturated.
We went on a few of the other rides and then called it a day. We were hot and tired and I wasn't feeling 100% after some of the rides.
