Cape Town, South Africa

September 3, 2010 - Cape Town, South Africa

We're in Cape Town and even as a Durban girl, I must admit: I can see what the hype is all about!

Cape Town is awesome.. Long Street is fun, the Waterfront is stylish, Bo Kaap is cultural and its ALL Beautiful! OH.. and Camps Bay is MONEY! :)

The white sandy beaches.. the people.. the vibe (I know, I know it sounds cheesy) but it's true.. I Love it and who wouldn't?!

We only had 5 days here, we ate fish and chips in Hout Bay, walked around the waterfront, drank wine in Long Street, ate Cape Malay curry in Bo Kaap and hung out with my sister and her newborn, Chloe.. We also went to Camps Bay and sat on the white sandy beach.

Tonight we had our pre-depature meeting with Acacia (the company we're touring Africa with).

Our guides - an Afrikaans girl and her (english) South African boyfriend. We got to meet the 22 people going.. mostly British and Norweigin and then some Americans and Saffa's too.. all around our age :) We're REALLY looking forward to our trip now and have an early (7am) start in the moring.. so we're off to have some more wine with the group and then hopefully get some sleep!

We'll write again as soon as we get to an internet cafe.. which will probably be in Windhoek, Namibia.

Lots of Love,

Jinnie & Alex
