Andrea and Trevor's Peru Journey

Hi all, this is our first entry just to let you know that we leave for Peru on 1st May. Thankyou to everyone who has contributed goodies for Peru's Challenge. We have received heaps - we need two cases to carry it all - (and some cash as well) which will be used to purchase extra items for the school and village when we finally get there on Saturday 3rd May. Our first hurdle is the 21 hour flight and the 8 hour stop over in Santiago - in all nearly 30 hours to get to Lima. We hope to be able to give you an update each week, so our next communication will be from Cuzco once we recover from jet lagged and endeavour to come to terms with the effects of the altitude. Pete and I will look forward to your travels and journey along with you both.

Thank you for a very enjoyable day on Sunday it was great to catch up and hear all your news and see all the changes to your lovely home.

In this beautiful weather Pete and I have been busy working on the back area and we now have a lovely garden all ready to plant up before the winter rains – we hope.

I will be thinking of you on the 1st.

WOW, this is wonderful, so much goes on in Australia that I know nothing about...but I do look forward to your emails and news of your adventure...I also will be in Santiago, but a litle later than you guys, wouldn't that be fun, meeting up in South America. I assume since you are going to Cuzco, you will be on the Inca trail and climbing Machu Picchu!! good luck
