Hada walk around the Sussex Beach complex Earnley, swimming pool, far too cold forus, a walk to the beach, which is all stones no sand. They do have a flood wall because the area is very lowlying it would flood from high tides. The area around here is surround by sea. Heaps of little towns like,Bracklesham, East and West Wittering, Shipton Green, West Itchenor, Birdham,etc with Chichester being the town centre for all these places. Chichester shops are set out on abig cross road with a clock tower in the middle and then a large ring roadaround the place. Novehicles in the town centre. Lots of old buildings and cobblestone roads.
Thenin the afternoon we went to The Thatched Tavern for lunch, met some friends ofDarlene and Ken’s, Gillian and Gordon, nice people for poms. You will see a picture of Eddieand I; we had too bend down to enter the Pub. Then back to Darlene and Ken’s to watch the MotoGP,Rossi won again but Casey did get second.

Monday2nd June
Todaywe went for a drive to Tangmere which is a museum for the World War IIplanes. Ken volunteers therefor a couple of hours a week. Lotsof interesting facts that I knew nothing about. This area in Sussex has heaps of history from WorldWar II.
Tuesday3rd June
Todayit was a drive to Arundel Castle, pronounced Ar-un-del; this castle has afamily that live there permantly, which is one of the few castles that peoplestill live in. The area isknown for its chalk cliffs and this chalk rock has been used to buildstructures in days gone by. Thetown has some ruins by the River Arun which had been partly built from chalkrock.
Wehad a pub lunch by the River Arun at The Black Rabbit. So many of these little Englishpubs with great names, if you check out the white pages they are all listed.
Drinkswith Gillian and Gordon tonight and then its off to Barcelona tomorrow, we havean early flight out of Gatwick.
