About us
Eddie and Pauline have now been retired for 2 years in Eddie's case, and 16 months for Pauline. Our retired life living at the Glades Robina is a golfers heaven for Eddie, unlimited golf and any number of people around to talk too. What more could he want, well a trip to Europe I hope.
About our trip
Welcome to our travel blog! The plan is to keep everybody up-to-date on the hopefully riveting events of our travels via this blog. So, by all means visit back soon to check out our journal entries, pictures, map and profile. This trip has been 1 year in the planning, it is only a few weeks before we leave. The high light of the trip for Eddie will be the MotoGP in Catalunya. There is so much on our agenda its hard to know were to start. Firstly we have a week in the UK, catchup with people we met on our cruise to NZ, spend time with Darlene and Ken, Eddie's sister and brother inlaw. Then fly to Barcelona and spend a few days sight seeing before attending the MotoGP. We then spend 3 nights with Mike in Andorra, he tells us that there will also be some KIWI's there, so it should be a great time. We then fly to Lyon and pickup our motorhome for 7 days in the south of France. We will just follow the road and see were it takes us. Then it onto Paris and the sights of Paris for 3 nights. Moulin Rouge, dinner and show is on the programme. We then take a train to Amsterdam, to commence our 15 day cruise to Budapest. After 2 nights in Budapest we take the train to Prague for 3 nights and then onto Frankfurt by train. We are looking forward to the time on the trains, it should be relaxing, we should meet some of the locals. After Frankfurt its homeward bound, with 2 nights in Singapore and then back to Brisbane and Robina. I think after 8 weeks we will be more than happy to get home.
