Things are looking hopeful!!

June 30, 2008 - London, United Kingdom

Hey everybody...

How r u all?? I'm all good.  Things are starting to look up now.  On Friday I had a trial run at a centre and really liked it.  They pretty much offered me the job.  I just need to have an interview with the parent committee and then go from there.  They could get me started by the end of this week everything goes ok.  Then I had another trial at another centre this morning.  The manager pretty much offered me the job as well, but I need to the have CRB check (police check).  They can't let me start till that has come through.  But the manager spoke to a few people and they said that I could probably start working but I just can't be with the children on my own (which is what the centre on Friday had told me too).  But they were having to ask the big boss about it and then go from there.  So hopefully by the end of this week things will have all been sorted and I can finally start getting settled into things over here.

Haven't really been up to much.  Was meant to catch up with Adam and Taryn (sorry Taryn not you, as much as I wish it was you) again on Saturday, but they got a live in pub job and had to move on Saturday.  Went to the pub with Tammy instead though.

I'm housesitting Tammy's parents place from Sunday for 2 weeks.  So hopefully I get a job and then whilst I'm staying here I can really look into the whole renting a room thing and then when they get back I go have my own room.  I've been gone 9 weeks now (can you believe it) and I'm sick of living out of my backpack and I'm dying to go back up to Aunty Cathleen's to get the rest of my stuff.  I'm sick of wearing the same 5 t-shirts, same 3 pairs of pants etc etc etc.

Anyway, better go.  Got to sort out this CRB form.  Such the mission.  Need to have 3 forms of ID and I only have 1 that they will expect, so I've got to get things to be able to show that I'm me.  And provide addresses from the last 5 years etc etc. Grrrrr....

Hope all is well and you aren't freezing too much.  Let's just say I am enjoying being a little bit warm instead of freezing!! Today's been warm, but it still doesn't beat the temps for the middle of summer from back home!!

Love you all and miss you heaps!!!

That is good news. You will not need luck, just make sure you pick the one you want. It is a pain living out of the backpack but just think when you get your job all the shopping you can do.Where has the 9 weeks go. It is freezing here. Love Sandra xx
