Back in Wokingham

June 9, 2008 - Wokingham, United Kingdom

Hey everybody,

How are we all?? I'm all good, but REALLY hot!!! I'm loving the fact that I'm going to in a Summer for a whole year!! It's great!! I'm super brown and have the mean sunglasses mark that is annoying me so badly, but I can't live without my sunnies!!

So...I'm back in Wokingham at Tammy's place! I came up yeseterday after having spent 4 nights at Ollie's place.  They have said I'm welcome back there any time, but hopefully I get a job within the next few weeks.  I spent the weekend in Wimbledon.  On Friday night I meet up with Ollie and a few of his mates at a pub, and had a few drinks and then headed back home to chill and have a few more drinks.  I had been for an interview on Friday afternoon (will explain these next).  And then on Satuday I had another interview, and then meet Ollie and Ed at the Borough Markets.  We then headed to the Queen Mary Boat on the Thames River for a few drinks with a group of us and then headed to Clapham North to meet up with Grace (a girl me and Ollie used to work with at Foodtown).  We had dinner with them and a few drinks, then headed back home.  Grace was with a few of her mates, and she introduced me to this girl called Emma.  Emma said to me oh my god you look familiar and we started talking about which schools we went to.  Turns out she went to Henderson Primary (same as me) and she was a few years older than me but she was a twin.  Crazy how insanely small the world is!!

Anyway...These two job interviews I had on Friday and Saturday went REALLY well!! Both have mentioned giving me a trial run to see how I like it and to see how they like me, as both of them have had a bad run in the last few months with nannies coming and going and not staying for very long.  Both are really loving.  One is an American family and the other the Dad is Italian and the Mum is German.  Both have there pros and cons, and I'm hoping that if I get offered both jobs I get to choose which one I would like to go for.  Both have got planned travels ahead and I'm all up for that.  One family has 3 kids whilst the other has 2.  So...fingers crossed I get either or these.  I'm waiting to find out about the American family today so that I can then let the other family now about the trial runs etc etc.  The only thing with the American family is it doesn't start till the 11 July, so I'd still have to wait around for another 5 weeks doing nothing and being bored (and I've found that when I get bored, all I can do is think about everybody back home and wish that I could just jump in my car and drive to see people).  That is not the case here, everything is so far for everything!!  Good thing about both of these jobs is that one is in Wimbledon and the other is in Putney Bridge and are both close to Ollie (sorry Ollie don't think you are getting rid of me that quickly) so at least I will still be able to hang out with him.

Well, make sure you check out the photos I have posted.  I will keep this up to date as much as possible.  Tammy doesn't have the internet at home anymore, so I'm down at the library using it for free so I'm not complaining!!

Love to you all!!!

Me xxooxxoo

Hello Victoria,

Hope everything goes well with your interviews.
I am spending this week in Brisbane with my sons. The temp is 22 degrees.

I like your clogs.
Sounds as though you are still having a whale of a time.

Best wishes from Heather
