Ça fait maintenant presque deux semaines que nous sommes de retour au bercail, sous un soleil de plomb et une chaleur de bête...tout un changement après la pluie et le frais de Seattle. Ça fait du bien de se prendre un peu de chaleur dans la tronche, surtout si on veut y être plus ou moins habitués pour quand on arrivera en Asie...La mousson nous y attendra en battant son plein, ça risque d'être assez intéressant.
Nous avons été acheter nos billets de "Tour du Monde", plus connus sous l'abbréviation RTW (Round the World en anglais dans le texte...), ce qui n'a pas été une mince affaire. On pourrait même dire que ça a été notre première aventure dans les jungles des réservations de billets d'avion !

Ya llevamos casi una semana por estos lares calurosos y soleados, lo cual es un cambio bastante agradable comparado con la llovizna asquerosa y las temperaturas sobradamente otoñales que tuvimos en Seattle justo antes de nuestra salida... Nos viene bien vernos las caras con el calorazo, a ver si así nos pilla menos desprevenidos cuando lleguemos a Asia y nos tengamos que enfrentar con el monzón... cosa que puede ser bastante interesante.
Hemos comprado nuestros billetes de vuelta al mundo y ha resultado ser mucho más complicado de lo que pensábamos en un primer momento... de hecho podemos decir que se trata de nuestra primer aventura, por las selvas de las reservas de billetes de avión (4hr sentados con las señoritas de Iberia y Qantas).
Además hemos tenido la suerte de terminar de disfrutar del campeonato de Europa de Fútbol por todo lo grande, en la madre patria y con la victoria Española. Los fuegos artificiales tronaban en las calles, los vecinos se desgañitaban gritando "¡CAM-PEOOOOO-NES, CAM-PEOOOOO-NES, OEEE, OEEE, OOEEEEEOOOO!" y las lagrimas se deslizaban por las mejillas despues de ver realizado nuestro sueño compartido de distintas generaciones (la mirada en los ojos de mi padre era la misma que en los mios y en los de mi hermana pequeña). Ha sido un dia que siempre recordare y por el que ya simplemente ha valido la pena despedirme del curro y venir a España (quiza estoy exagerando un poco en esta ultima parte, pero lo bien que queda...).
En fin, ahora que ya tenemos los billetes de avión, solo nos queda seguir disfrutando del sol y la piscina y recuperar mis colores de piel originales; todo morenito obscuro con una banda blanca desde la cintura hasta medio muslo, como los bombones de Uña.

We have been already a week in these lands parched by the sun and I must say that it's a very pleasant change from the rain and grayness of Mordor (ehh I mean Seattle). Besides, it's always good training before we leave for Asia and the monsoons if we want to be used to the hot weather. It is gonna be rainy and hot, a mix between Mordor and Madrid. hahaha.
We have already bought our RTW (Round the World) tickets and we must say that that has been the very first of our adventures in this trip of us. I have to say, to my dismay, that the two clerks that we had to deal with, at the IBERIA headquarters, were not the most skilled people I've met. It took us two and a half hours of fighting with them just to find out that they couldn't issue the tickets and that we had to go to the Qantas office in Madrid to had it done... just to find out that they could have done it at IBERIA in the first place... bottom line, 4 hours and €5200 to get our tickets (I could have paid for my tickets if I had worked that time as OT), hahahahaha.
Anyway, just to be in Spain to watch the EuroCup football (yes, football, not soccer) final made up for all the trouble we had with the tickets. I don't know if you not Spaniards and appreciate what it means to us, but it is the expectations, the dreams of generations of Spanish football fans. We have had always very good teams, even favorite teams that always ended up losing in quarters or at the most going to semi-finals just to play much better than the opponent and end up losing in the penalties. This championship our team has been the best, they haven't lose a single match and they have played beautiful football to delight the eyes of every football fan, Spaniard or not. I hope you also enjoyed it. We are the CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!
