Nights spent in some other accommodations (including in a cottage, at a relative’s house, on a ferry and on a bus): 6
Approximate amount of money spent on accommodations for all 90 days: $2, 018
Travelling
Islands we visited: 14
Ferry rides (including rides in boats that weren’t technically ferries, but served the purpose of ferrying us between islands): 27
Rides on Greyhound buses: 4, which was 4 too many
Train rides: 3
Approximate amount of time we spent walking each day: 2 to 4 hours
Approximate number of rides we had via hitchhiking: 44
Approximate number of those rides that were scary: 3, all due to speed and seeming lack of caution of the driver (then we got home and rode with our dads – they scored the highest on the fear factor scale)
Approximate amount of money spent on transportations for all 90 days: $1,312
Eating
Approximate number of granola bars we ate before we got sick of them: 128
Approximate number of pieces of fruit leather we ate: 160
Approximate number of packages of dry soup we dumped into boiling water and consumed before wanting to vomit at the sight of the powdered soup: 12
