AND SO IT BEGINS

Earlier today, we were testing our equipment and as we did so, I put my hand up to my face and touched my five-day-old growth and it made me think about the fact that we're actually doing this. We've quit our jobs, packed everything away, spent way too much money on backpacking gear and in two days we'll be on a ferry destined for who knows where. I can't believe I've managed to con my wife into taking this journey with me and I hope she can continually decide to love me as I know we will share times of adversity.

We've made plans for the month of March to work-to-stay at Iguana Ranch , a hostel near Duncan, B.C., where we'll ease into the life of homelessness.

The countdown is on!

Buddy boy!!! you have entered into our noble homeless traveller ranks!!! congradulations, and yes, you do have many many adventures ahead...i feel like i'm inducting you into a new secret club, and the sad part is i'm leaving that club in 2 months... i love you both, have a BLAST (you will, being poor is just one awesome adventure after another) and keep in touch!!! I'll be in Vancouver in april if you are near, we should hang... peace out and God bless dude and dudette

WAY HAY! It is finally happening! I am so excited for you two! I know you've been wanting to travel for ages and am really really REALLY glad that you two decided to give it go before settling down and all that nonsense. : ) I wish on you the best of adventures - the one that you only plan so much and then let life surprise you with the rest!

Our shifty little Beaver friends! Sounds like you guys are having adventures already....We checked out the web site of the "Iguana Ranch"...it looks like you're really gonna be roughing it....hahahaha...Anyways...we totally miss your antics...life isn't the same around here! Chey says....Eric....SHAVE YOUR BEARD!!!!! hahahaa..just joking! Hey..did you guys end up selling your truck? Hope so...
In closing...we know of a 3 bedroom guest house that you guys could stay at for free anytime....it's in a cute, little, rural, quaint Alberta town...and the locals are really friendly! So you know...when you're hitchhiking on by...stop in!

Hi! So glad to hear from you guys. We sure miss you Eric. You were one of our best paying customer!!! We just got back from the Dominican Republic, we were there for two weeks, and loved it. It was nice to get out of this cold weather. Looks like your journey will be a exciting one, I'm not as adventurest as you guys, Good for you's!!! Just remember to keep us in touch and especially your mom!! I feel for her right now!
