Moving to Moosomin
We were besieged by flies during the first month of our move to Moosomin. It was an inside job.

We drove for 55 hours, across three provinces and back, in 10 days.

Fun in Manitoba
In between working hard on the farm, we managed to find time for some leisure activities, too, like find our new home - the bus.

Travels along Highway 3
We took our time driving from Chilliwack to Kola. At least we lingered in B.C. and Alberta; not so much in Saskatchewan.

Inside Passage
We spent about 30 hours on the Queen of Prince Rupert, sailing from Port Hardy to the Queen Charlotte Islands. The scenery was beautiful. Feeling the ground heaving under my (Rachel's) feet for the next few days was not.

Quadra and Cortes
Definitely some of the most enjoyable days of our whole trip - the sunshine made a big difference!

Courtenay
Mmmm, more home cooking. (We neglected to take more pictures in Courtenay; sorry.)

Hornby
Thanks to the cold, rainy weather and too much hype, this island didn't turn out to be what we had expected.

Qualicum Beach
We enjoyed home-cooked meals and free transportation thanks to our gracious host, who had never even met us before.

From the Cowichan Valley to Nanaimo and beyond
We spent a week visiting the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Gabriola Island and Newcastle Island. Our hostel in Nanaimo was within walking distance of the ferry terminals for both islands.

Salt Spring Island
It rained during the first part of our visit to this island, the biggest of the Gulf Islands, but cleared up enough for us to enjoy Ruckle Provincial Park, one of our most favourite places of our trip.

Galiano, Mayne and Saturna islands
These three smaller Gulf Islands were the first islands we travelled to.

The Saanich Peninsula
After the Iguana Ranch, we hung out in the Mill Bay area, moved east to Sidney, then south to Victoria. We returned to the capital between visits to the southern Gulf Islands.

Iguana Ranch
We spent the first three weeks of our travels hanging out at this hostel. Good thing, because it rained almost the entire time.
