Anyone interested in some swamp land?

July 15, 2008 - New Orleans, Louisiana, United States

We have finally made it to New Orleans.  I apologize for the lapse in communication but no Internet access since we left Siloam Springs.  the Noodling festival was a lot of fun.  Ate some catfish and watched the demonstrations.  Didn't stay to watch the band though as we has to make some road so we could hit saline LA the next day,  Stayed in Saline with William and Brenda (met through couchsurfing).  What a fantastic lakeside property they have.  Spend lots of time soaking in the lake that was about 93 degrees.  They are fantastic folk.

Went to the French Quarter last night and checked out Boutbon street.  It's quite something.  Will likely check out the alligators in the swamp or take a plantation tour today. Will be heading to Panama City Beach Florida in a few days.  Thanks for the comments.  It's a great way of knowing that everything and everybody is OK in one swoop.  Will have to wait on the pictures though as we are newbies at this camera thing.
lots of love.. wayne (and Julie)

Can't wait to see the pics. Kevin is a wee bit concerned about the alligators-don't fall in!

Any comments about Oklahoma? I've heard so much about it, would loved to have been there, maybe some day.
Take care.

Are there any regulations or checking in spots as you enter another State?
